I found this excerpt intriguing:

If there is already a "clear link" then what do they they need the wire taps for?
DD is right. A "clear link" = guilt. Why don't they just arrest them and rendition them or refuse them habeas corpus and take care of them that way. Problem solved - they'll never bother us again. And we don't have to mess about with all that wire-tapping and eavesdropping which is, to be fair, cumbersome and un-Christian.
