The iMac is a great machine

I have finally left the PC world behind and have taken the plunge into the realm of Apple. My new iMac arrived yesterday and is quite a remarkable machine. It is taking a little time getting used to all of its features, quirks and handy applications, but am surely glad that it is now a powerful tool in my intellectual arsenal of information dispersal. As the salesman from MacMall said to me on the phone, with his Hispanic Southern California accent, "welcome to the good side of the computer world my friend".

Kudos, Beamis. I'll probably be joining you in the Mac world soon. My Dell is dying a slow death.

It's like looking at my desk! I have the Mac G% with the same monitor. I've had Macs for over 15 years, and I have loved every one of them. I had a PC once and hated it. Welcome my friend. Once you go Mac, you never go back.

NICE!!!

Welcome to the Mac world, beamis! You've got a screamin machine there.

Mine (purchased last August) looks just like yours, but yours is a big step up from mine on the inside (DD told me you got one of the Intel-chip-equipped ones -- a dual?).

You know, don't you, that if you hook up with some high-speed internet access, you've got video phone capabilities built right in (I see that little camera lens built into the top, there). They started including those after I bought mine, but I hear it takes phone sex to a whole new level....

I´d fuck my Mac if it had a big enough hole.

macs rule, just as long as you don't bite the mac pill and completely swallow it whole. i hate to say it, but finder sucks compared to windows explorer and firefox is better than safari! http://www.getfirefox.com

one quick tip- download and use quicksilver:
http://quicksilver.blacktree.com/

i'm surprised that apple hasn't integrated this into OSX yet.
