Cover-up at the American Auschwitz

Today a low level soldier was sentenced to three years in prison for her role in the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal. How dumb as a country are we to think that justice has been served to those who are truly responsible for this latest installment in America's sordidly shameful national history.

It would be the same as heaving a sigh of righteous relief that a lowly prison guard was punished for the crimes committed at Auschwitz, while his boss Heinrich Himmler continued
to sit smugly in the comfort of his fortified Berlin office creating yet more atrocities. Why are we so unquestioningly supportive of our own guilty Himmlers, that we dutifully work two days a week for in DC?

In the photo above a baton-wielding US soldier orders a naked detainee, covered in feces, to walk a straight line with his ankles handcuffed.

Your tax dollars at work.

This empire will not last too much longer.

David,I grab onto your very jagged and multi-tipped hook out of much exasperation, knowing my flesh will be torn. BUT REALLY! Auschwitz and Abu Ghraib? Your powers of comparison have failed you extremely on this one. I understand what you're saying, but your comparison is repulsively wrong. Don't go off the deep end; you're too good for that.

Steve, I completely understand your objection to Beamis' comparison. However, I think the point is well made that punishing only the guards is completely unjust. When the Abu Ghraib abuses first came to light, Rumsfeld should have resigned (or should have been forced to resign) immediately. Our government absolutely ignores the principle of ministerial responsibility and we, as a nation, allow them to get away with that.

I said an American Auschwitz not a Nazi German Auschwitz. It is commensurate with our level of depravity, which is not quite as extreme as that of Nazi Germany, but the U.S. government runs torture chambers nonetheless. Places where people are beaten, smeared in human waste, brutalized and wounded by trained war dogs, while others are capriciously murdered by people paid through your payroll taxes.

None of this evil activity is legal through the Geneva Convention in any way shape or form. I can only hope that U.S. troops get much the same or worse from their Arab captors. It serves them right for not deserting.

We are already off the deep end my friend and Allah will avenge these crimes, you wait and see. The U.S. military has stirred a hornets nest that is just now starting to stir in reaction.

Again I quote from Revelations:

"Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues!" - Revelation 18:4

The plagues have only just begun, just you wait and see.
